Imaguru hosts Hacks/Hackers, an international journalism meetup, on January 23
Hacks/Hackers Minsk chapter set up an ambitious goal to bring together journalists (“hacks”) and technologists (“hackers”) — people who use different approaches but strive to the same goals, and most importantly, have proactive attitude to life.
You ask what for? — To find point of interaction, to provide journalists with innovative technical means to work online and give technologists a platform to expose their creativity.
For those who want to invest their talent and energy into journalism acceleration, Hacks/Hackers Minsk is an informal platform to exchange ideas or even start collaborative projects, be it a witty demotivator series or a fully-fledged interactive.
Hacks/Hackers Minsk community started a year ago at a meetup of journalists, developers, economists, and startupers. On January 23, you will get a chance to build a network, ask experts, and present on what is important for you (upon coordination of the topic with the organizers).
The program includes a mini presentation section, a round table with experts on the topic “How to make Belarusian The New York Times and The Guardian: brainstorming”, and a works hopon data journalismtools (toparticipateyouneedtobringyourlaptop).
