As a Imaguru Head of Research you will be working closely with the CEO, and be responsible for an independent think tank as part of the Imaguru ecosystem. Responsibilities
- Overseeing the intellectual content of the Think Tank
- In conjunction with the Founding partners, recruiting staff, fellows, contributors, and other writers
- Managing the team, building, and overseeing the working processes
- Budgeting activities and looking for partners and donors.
- Representing the independent think tank in front of partners and other stakeholders.
- Doing the research and write articles for publication
- Guiding the publication review process, both substantive and administrative.
- Overseeing staff and fellows to produce clear, elegant, and timely writings that provide new, original, and important contributions to knowledge.
- Conceptualizing, proofing, and fact-checking staff and fellow writings.
- Placing those writings in publications and maintaining publication schedules.
- Edit letters, reports, proposals, marketing materials, press releases, and job announcements
- Recommending which staff and fellow writings to post, distribute, and promote.
- Organizing webinars, public appearances, and events; write issue overviews.
- Other related duties
Qualifications
- MA/PhD in Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Public Policy, or related field. A doctoral degree is preferred.
- Fluency in English and Russian languages.
- Relevant professional experience and deep familiarity with the Eastern European economic, political and research agenda.
- Hands-on experience with relevant computer programs.
- Willingness to take initiative and develop entrepreneurial mind
- Managerial skills and experience: ability to multitask, prioritize work schedules, be a team player, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
- Analytical mindset, love for data and at the same time creativity
- Great organizational skills
- Friendly and personable who love interacting with people with a smile
- Super flexible, able to multitask and be ready to go the extra mile
