Entrepreneurs' and startups' visa regulations

Under the entrepreneur law, business people can apply for the following types of visas to stay in Spain:

  • Entrepreneur visa,
  • International remote working visa,
  • Highly qualified professionals visa, or the
  • Investors visa.

Obtaining the entrepreneur visa requires proof of sufficient economic resources to support yourself in Spain for at least one year.

The startup visa requires a qualification process by the following criteria: professional qualifications and experience of the management team, general viability and viability of investment in Spain, product scalability, and the degree of technological innovation. As these criteria are the same as those of the Rising Up in Spain program, participants of the program don’t need to go through the same process separately.
